WELCOME TO THE CORAOPOLIS DISTRICT SPORTSMEN'S ASSOCIATION HOME PAGE!

The Coraopolis District Sportsmen's Association is a private club established to provide its members, and in some cases the public,  with a place to enjoy the sport of shooting, archery, and hunting preparation through instruction, formal, and informal activities.

Nominations will close prior to start of the September meeting; so if you'd like to seek an office bring a friend to nominate you and come to the next meeting - September 21, 2010.

Important Dates:

JOAD, Archery Meet:  Sunday Sept. 12th 4:30p.m. - 7p.m.

Dues Deadline:  March 31st.

Club Meetings:  3rd Tuesday of Every Month at 8:00 p.m.

Family Corn Roast: Sunday August 22nd, 2010

Hunter Safety Course:  Scheduled for Sept. 25th and 26th 2010

Silhouette Matches: Start in April

2010 Gun Bash: October 10, 2010

Family Night: March 26th @ 7:00p.m.

Flea Market: April 10th from 8:00a.m. - 2:00p.m.

SAFETY: Safety MUST be your first priority when using the club ranges. Please keep muzzles pointed in a safe direction and DO NOT EVEN TOUCH FIREARMS WHEN ANYONE IS ON THE RANGE -Don't put them in a case, don't adjust the sights, DO NOT TOUCH THEM!!! Just stand back and wait for the range to be clear. When the range is clear, you may handle you firearm. YOU are responsible for you bullets after they leave your barrel (and arrows after they leave your bow). You MUST shoot in a safe direction, using the backstop.

Membership and Dues:

Anyone wishing to become a member will need to fill out an application - available at Phil's Archery Supplies 713 Chartiers Ave. McKees Rocks, PA. and pay a $75.00 initiation fee and $50.00 dues for the year.

2010 Membership Dues: DUE NOW!

If your mailing label has an "09" after your name, you did not pay your dues for 2010. Dues are $50.00 if paid by March 31st. and $60.00 thereafter. If you are not going to pay in person at a club meeting, please pay your dues c/o Phil, at Phil's Archery Supplies, 713 Chartiers Ave. McKees Rocks, PA 15136. Please make check payable to "Coraopolis Sportsmen" and include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for your membership card.  Thank you.

  Keys to Indoor Range: As most of you know, we have replaced the old combination lock for the indoor range with an electronic lock. Each member is issued an electronic key. If you have not picked up your key yet you can do so at a regular meeting or you can pick it up from Phil at Phil's Archery. There is a charge for lost keys. If your 2010 dues are not paid by the end of Feburary, you will not be able to access the indoor range.
