WELCOME TO THE CORAOPOLIS DISTRICT SPORTSMEN'S ASSOCIATION HOME PAGE!

The Coraopolis District Sportsmen's Association is a private club established to provide its members, and in some cases the public,  with a place to enjoy the sport of shooting, archery, and hunting preparation through instruction, formal, and informal activities.

JOAD, Archery Meet:  Sunday afternoons during school year

Dues Deadline:  2009 Past Due $10.00 penalty in effect.

Club Meetings:  3rd Tuesday of Every Month at 8:00 p.m.

Family Corn Roast: Sunday August 23rd (1:30pm - ?)

Hunter Safety Course:  Check back to the Courses and Classes page or the Game Commission website for safety course dates, normally held in May and September.

Silhouette Matches:  1 match left for '09

2009 Gun Bash: Sunday September 13th

Family Night: check back for 2010 date

Flea Market: Saturday October 3rd. from 8a.m. - 2p.m.

SAFETY: Safety MUST be your first priority when using the club ranges. Please keep muzzles pointed in a safe direction and DO NOT EVEN TOUCH FIREARMS WHEN ANYONE IS ON THE RANGE -Don't put them in a case, don't adjust the sights, DO NOT TOUCH THEM!!! Just stand back and wait for the range to be clear. When the range is clear, you may handle you firearm. YOU are responsible for you bullets after they leave your barrel (and arrows after they leave your bow). You MUST shoot in a safe direction, using the backstop.

Work Session: Wednesday September 9 @ 6:30p.m.

Please come to the club and help set up for the Gun Bash. Work will include setting up tables/chairs, setting up tents, and cleaning up the grounds a little bit. The work shouldn't be too hard and there might be a cold one or two waiting for you when the work is done.

Membership and Dues:

Anyone wishing to become a member will need to fill out an application - available at the club or at Phil's Archery Supplies 713 Chartiers Ave. McKees Rocks, PA. and pay a $75.00 initiation fee and $50.00 dues for the year.

2009 Membership Dues: DUE NOW!

If your mailing label has an "08" after your name, you did not pay your dues for 2009 and they are OVERDUE. If you are in this situation, please bring $60.00 to the next meeting or to the corn roast. You can also mail $60.00 to our membership chairman Phil, at Phil's Archery Supplies, 713 Chartiers Ave. McKees Rocks, PA 15136. Please make check payable to "Coraopolis Sportsmen" and include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for your membership card. 2010 Dues are due by March 31,2010. Thank you.
